The Trimix, the Tekwing and the Redwing
Tech diving takes off and in response AP produce the Trimix, the Tekwing and the Redwing – 22kg lift wings – aimed at the Nitrox and Trimix markets. Both proved very popular and other wings followed: the Travel 13, Travel 16 – lighter weight for the travelling tekkie. The Redwing was designed to be configurable with any AP jacket or wing to offer 22kg of redundant buoyancy. The Trimix (renamed the Trident), the Tekwing and the Redwing are still popular 20 years on
